Chris Frazer Smith is a British portrait photographer, filmmaker and educator whose work explores people, identity and place.

Working across photography and film, his practice encompasses editorial and advertising commissions alongside long-form personal projects. Recent documentary work has focused on communities in Cornwall, the Warehouse Skatepark in Cambridge and Friends of Rwandan Rugby, as well as The Rape and Resurrection, filmed in Catalonia and Carrara.

His work has received international recognition from the Lucie Awards, Communication Arts and Lürzer’s Archive, and has been exhibited at the National Portrait Gallery and the Royal Academy of Arts.

Chris is a Capture One Ambassador and has taught photography and moving-image practice at Ravensbourne University London since 2015. He has also served as a D&AD judge.
